Shan Hai Jing series
Shanhai: Hidden Treasures Exhibition
Shanhai: Hidden Treasures, Lu Renjie’s solo exhibition, opened at Guangfulin International Exchange Center in September 2023. Three galleries—Shanhai Yi, Shanhai Xiang and Shanhai Jing—connected writing, painting, sculpture and space to present his ongoing work with the Shan Hai Jing.
The exhibition placed the works within spaces visitors could move through and inhabit. The scroll, groups of figures and installations offered different scales of viewing, leading from individual forms to the wider world and back to textual and cultural threads. These images document relationships between the works and their gallery settings.
