Shanhai at Jinzhong
Shanhai Jinzhong opened at Jinzhong Plaza on Huaihai Road, Shanghai, in 2024. The project brought Shan Hai Jing imagery, creature forms and route maps into an urban setting, linking works with everyday movement through large paintings, installations and interactive scenes.
Yinglong forms at the entrance, maps across the floors and small gold-coloured figures along the way formed a trail for visitors. Moving between floors, visitors could see the Shanhai Scroll under different lighting and enter interactive settings such as the Dragon Gate. These images record the meeting of the works and an urban public space.
